On 07 November 2022, a digital workshop for Ukrainian PhD students from Donetsk National Technical University, Sumy State University and VN Karazin Kharkiv National University on “Qualitative and quantitative research methods in social and educational sciences” took place. The workshop was led by the experienced lecturers Sebastian Heidel and Stanley Schilling-Friedemann respectively and offered the participants an excellent opportunity to expand their knowledge of research methods and to discuss it together. The Ukrainian PhD students from Sumy, Donetsk and Kharkiv had the opportunity to participate in discussions and ask their questions, which led to a better understanding of the different research methods and their possible applications in the social and educational sciences.
The event was rated very positively by the participants, as they were able to gain valuable insights into the different research methods and also had the opportunity to expand their network and establish contacts with other PhD students and lecturers. For the PhD students who could not attend the workshop, the event was recorded.
The workshop was a success. We are looking forward to more events of this kind in the future.
