Writing and publishing a research paper in reputable academic journals can be a challenging task to accomplish for PhD candidates and young researchers. For this very reason, Leipzig University, as part of its “Leipzig – Chance for Science” programme, held a digital workshop on “Getting your paper published – Dos and Don‘ts” on October 18, 2022, for Ukrainian PhD students and young researchers affected and/or displaced by the war from their partner universities including, Donetsk National Technical University, Sumy State University, and V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
During this presentation, Prof. Dr. Roland Happ offered a series of observations regarding the publishing process, as well as, the Do’s and Don’ts for research paper development. Additionally, he provided practical information on how to find the “right” journal for publishing, how to prepare and submit a good manuscript and the various ways to deal with the peer-reviews.
The participants showed great interest particularly on how to create a successful manuscript for their research work and are looking forward to future workshops.
